Startup BBQ is back for round two. On Saturday, April 25th, the backyard of Fabrika once again became the meeting point for Croatia’s startup and tech community, bringing together founders, investors, entrepreneurs, innovators, and ecosystem builders for another relaxed afternoon of conversations, networking, and good energy.
Startup BBQ Vol. 2 was organized by BIRD Incubator, Nuqleus, CroAI, HUB385, HUKI, and KUT, continuing the mission of strengthening connections and encouraging collaboration across the local startup ecosystem.
The program opened with a VC Pitchback panel discussion, where investors shared honest insights into what makes startups stand out. The panel featured Dalibor Marijanović from Vesna VC, Tomislav Nikočević from SQ Capital, Matija Šušak from AYMO Ventures, and Monika Mikac from NVision Ventures, moderated by Ante Magzan.
After the panel, the crowd gathered for a fireside chat between Matej Trbara of Farseer and Ivan Brezak Brkan from Netokracija, touching on how AI is affecting the workplace and why it’s beneficial for people who don’t have tech backrounds.
With BBQ, drinks, music, and plenty of spontaneous conversations throughout the evening, Startup BBQ Vol. 2 once again proved that the Croatian startup scene thrives best when the community comes together in an open and informal setting.

Following another strong turnout of over 300 people and an overwhelmingly positive atmosphere, it’s safe to say Startup BBQ is quickly becoming a staple gathering for Croatia’s growing startup and tech community.
